Hi GT - You may not remember me but I was in room 443 with you, Tony Sandford & Nick Wilson when I arrived from the factory in 1980. I was in your brick in NI when we did the Maze and area in (I think) 1984. I banged 94 Loc Regt into the search engine in a quiet moment and was amazed to find this site. So many names, so many photos, so much fun!! Dave Morreli, Richie Hughes, Steve Allum, Andy Renwick, Roman Marczac etc etc. UB40 was our TSM when I started and then Pete Titmarsh. You might remember I moved on for pastures new - I retired in 2003 as RSM from another firm - SIB I'm afraid but that surely doesn't make me a bad person. I had a great time in G troop - learned loads and have nothing but fond memories. I'm living in Scotland right now, married with 2. I work for the Court Service up here in charge of security. By the way - why did you always jump on my shoulders and make me dance around in the Europa 2000 when they played ';Come on Eileen'? Good luck to you buddy - John Mac

Can anyone help me trace what happened to my Great Grandfather Henry baker born 1833 who was in the RAC from 1856-1862 having served in India, canada and gibraltar before being discharged sick in 1862, supposedly going to Hailsham, Sussex. I have no tracce of him in 1861 and 1871 census, can anyone suggest where else I might look, maybe a hospital record somewhere?
